This blog is dedicated to my passion for all things Latin America. I have spent the last 10 years studying Spanish and the last 5 studying and traveling around Latin America. My time in Latin America has change my outlook on the world and realize my responsibility as a world citizen but also as a citizen of the United States of America, the empire that has impacted the world and caused deep conflicts in every continent. Latin American contemporary history is the untold and history of the United States (in the US) in many ways. From my years living off and on in Argentina and having traveled through countries like Bolivia, Uruguay, Peru, Mexico and Cuba, this blog will aim to contemplate current events in the region, history, literature, and language(s) of Latin America. Ultimately it is a way of expressing and shaping my views and perspectives as I learn more about this piece of the world that I have fallen in love with.

Este blog se dedica a la pasión que tengo por todo lo que sea de América Latina. Yo llevo unos diez años estudiando español y los últimos 5 estudiando y viajando por Latinoamérica. Mi tiempo en Latinoamérica ha cambiado mi manera de ver el mundo y darme cuenta de mi responsibilidad como ciudadano global y también como ciudadano de los Estados Unidos de América, el imperio que ha impactado el mundo y ha causado conflictos profundos en todos los continentes. La Historia contemporánea es de muchas formas la Historia no enseñanda de los Estados Unidos (dentro de EE.UU.). A partir de mi experiencia viviendo en Argentina y viajando extensamente por países como Bolivia, Uruguay, Perú, México y Cuba, este blog apuntará a contemplar la actualidad de la región, la Historia, la literatura, y las lenguas de América Latina. En fin, es una vía de expresar y formar mis perspectivas y opiniones mientras voy aprendiendo más sobre este pedazo del mundo del cual me he enamorado.
